Episode 10A: The Director Who Never Existed

On paper, he was an American filmmaker with a Hollywood‑brushed résumé and a nearly million‑euro Italian tax credit approved in his name. In reality, he was a man living on the margins of Rome, holding a passport with a fabricated identity and a film that existed only in ministry files. In this first part of the two‑episode finale, we follow the ghost director “Rexal Ford” from a forged U.S. passport, to Malta and Rome, into Italy’s powerful cinema incentive system, and ask how a funding machine built to support art ended up underwriting a tragedy one immaculate page at a time.
